– Hocevar started fourth, but quickly jumped to second at the start of the event where he ran through the first portion of the event.
– The race went 112 laps until the first caution of the night. Hocevar stopped for four tires, fuel, and adjustments to loosen the handling. The race was stopped for rain with 162 laps complete, but the KBR team pitted the #28 car prior to the red, allowing Hocevar to restart the race second following the delay.
– Several cautions in the closing stages of the 200-lap race tightened the field, where Hocevar raced inside the top five. After getting stuck on the high side during a restart with 5 laps to go, Hocevar fell back to sixth place, where he would be scored at the checkered flag.
– Hocevar’s next event will be at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway, Saturday, June 22. The ARCA Menards Series race will air on MAVTV at 7:45 p.m. eastern time.
“Madison was a tough place to get around but felt like our KBR guys adapted really well. We will continue working on improving our speed, including myself, to get our Chevy into victory lane. Overall our GM Parts Now, Scott’s, Team Chevy SS was strong and I’m anxious for Gateway next weekend.”
