– Mayer claimed his first win in the NASCAR K&N East Series in March at Bristol Motor Speedway. He won the pole and led all 150 laps en route to his first series win.

– He will be racing the same Chevrolet (chassis 406) he won with at Bristol, was second and 11th in the double-header races at South Boston and finished fourth in the season-opening race at New Smyrna Speedway in February.

– Mayer is currently second in the driver championship point standings, only four points out of first place.

– Crew chief Mardy Lindley won the K&N East race at Memphis in 2017 in his only start there.

“I’m excited to go to Memphis for the first time. I’ve been watching videos of past races and it looks really fun. There is a lot of room to race. Mardy (Lindley, crew chief) and I have had a really solid season so far, and I hope we can keep it going.”
