– Creed had a strong Silverado at Kansas, finishing eighth in stage one and fifth in stage two after leading early in the stage. A penalty on Lap 87 for an uncontrolled tire mired Creed back in the pack where he battled a loose-handling Silverado and heavy traffic for the remainder of the race.
– Creed led twice for a total of 12 laps.
“Our Chevy Accessories Silverado started off good, if just a little loose in the beginning. We ended up eighth in the first stage and we started up front in stage two and stayed out front for a bit. I feel like that was the strongest our truck was all night. One bad pit stop puts you behind and then you need to make up ground from there. I was battling slower trucks and I would get so loose in dirty air and just ended up in the fence and the whole night snowballed from there. That’s how it is sometimes. Our pit guys are good and sometimes situations happen. I made a mistake last week, they made one this week. We win as a team and we lose as a team. Now it’s on to Charlotte.”
