– Hocevar started seventh for the 200-lap event around the half-mile Toledo Speedway bullring.
– The team brought Hocevar to pit road during a lap 35 caution for rain, and again later in the race for four tires, fuel and a track bar adjustment. The #28 Chevrolet SS ran inside the top six for much of the event.
– Mother nature challenged everyone Sunday, causing a pair of cautions for brief rain, before ultimately shortening the race after 152 laps had been completed. Hocevar was running sixth at the time the race was called.
– Hocevar will next compete in his #28 Scott’s, GMPartsNow.com, KBR Development Chevrolet, at Madison International Speedway in Wisconsin, on Friday, June 14.
“Overall not a bad day, and something to build from. We felt really good late in the run with our Scott’s, GMPartsNow.com Chevy, but unfortunately, the cautions and the rain ruined our momentum. We really focused on our long-run speed this week. Overall very happy with the cars speed, just need to get track position early and put together the results everyone at KBR Development and our partners deserve.”
