– Hocevar will make his first official start since joining the Drivers Edge Development program. In association with JR Motorsports and GMS Racing, Drivers Edge Development is a program presented by Chevrolet, and aimed at grooming the next generation of racing superstars through a tiered competition pipeline coupled with comprehensive off-track education.
– Hocevar will pilot the same chassis he drove at Five Flags Speedway’s ARCA Menards Series event on March 9. After qualifying third, the #28 fell out of the race early with a mechanical issue and finished 17th.
– This weekends 200-lap race will be Hocevar’s first career start at Salem Speedway in an ARCA Menards Series car. – KBR Development tested with Hocevar at Salem Speedway on March 26.
– This is the third race of the 2019 season for KBR Development, competing full time with the ARCA Menards Series. Salem Speedway is 0.555-miles in length, with 33 degrees of banking in the corners. The race will air live on MAVTV at 2:00 p.m. ET.
“We tested and I was very comfortable with the track, and we were able to work on our long run balance. We have a few ideas to get our KBR Development Chevrolet better, so I’m real excited to get back this weekend with a whole field of cars on track and see where exactly we stack up.”
